The role

The Data Analytics team is a small dedicated team within the Specialist Reviews and Analytics section which focuses on improving the impact, quality and relevance of our audits and reports. 

They have a great opportunity for an upcoming/recent graduate wanting to gain practical skills and experience to join their team in an entry level Data Analyst role. You will work with talented and supportive professionals who will help you learn and challenge you to grow. 

As a Data Analyst your role will be to assist in the detailed analysis of both system and financial data. This includes data to be used for general audit planning purposes, as well as specific analytics-based performance and financial audits.  

To be successful in this role, you will need to have technical IT skills, had exposure to database concepts an understanding of a business environment. You will also need to have clear and concise written and oral communication skills, excellent problem solving skills and be committed to continuous learning in the emerging data analytics field.

Essential requirements

Completion of, or studying towards, an appropriate degree recognised by the Auditor-General, particularly incorporating a course or subjects related to data analysis.

Special conditions

  • Must have Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency status at time of applying
  • The preferred candidates will be required to undergo a national criminal history check
