About the role

The Auditor-General's Department is a great place to start your career and will give you a broad range of auditing, financial, accounting and management experience.

As an Audit Analyst you will be an integral part of an audit team in carrying out financial and compliance auditing and system reviews. Tasks include:

  • examining and verifying financial related transactions and records
  • evaluating internal accounting controls and financial reporting systems
  • preparing reports.

Essential requirements

An appropriate degree which meets the eligibility criteria for entry to the professional study program of either CPA Australia (professional level) or Institute of Chartered Accountants (accredited tertiary entry pathway level).

Special conditions

  • Must have Australian citizenship or Australian permanent residency status at time of applying
  • The preferred candidates will be required to undergo a national criminal history check
